REMINDER!

All of us in the concrete industry need to step back and revisit ”the tremendous product that we are producing”.  We are taking cement, sand, rock and water and turning it into roads, parking lots, houses, bridges and skyscrapers. There’s not any other material we can locally produce that can stand the stress in which concrete receives in its lifetime. By combining steel reinforcement to concrete, we have made the most durable product in the construction industry with tensile and compressive strength.
As with all materials, concrete is still vulnerable to some of the elements around or applied to it. There are many products made to help exterior concrete stand up to these elements, for example, products made to help exterior concrete withstand salt damage. Using a sealer helps concrete withstand salt damage from the fall and winter months.  Many customers, both commercial and residential, don’t use salt on their driveways, however, it is easily picked up on the streets and tracked onto the drives. By simply using a sealer, you can make the driveways and walkways last a lifetime.
It has been a wonderful month with the out-of-season weather.  Let’s take advantage of it while we can!
